John H. Fahey (1873-1950) was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. After graduation from high school, he began a career in the newspaper business, which continued until 1925. Fahey held positions with the Eastern Associated Press in New Haven, the Associated Press in Boston, the Boston Traveler, the Worchester (Massachusetts) Post, the Manchester (New Hampshire) Mirror, the Clarke Press and the New York Evening Post.
